1. Goya and Caravaggio in Rome: Comparison between two Masters of Painting
Dal 12 January to 25 February 2024, i Capitoline Museums of Rome present a comparison between two masters of painting: Francisco Goya and Caravaggio. Con il dipinto di Goya “Il parasole” esposto accanto all’opera di Caravaggio “La Buona Ventura”, la mostra offre un’occasione unica di riflessione sulle innovazioni iconografiche e stilistiche introdotte da entrambi gli artisti.
2. Picasso e Munch a Milano: Un’Esperienza Cubista e Tormentata
Dal 20 September 2024 al 2 February 2025, Palazzo Reale a Milano ospiterà una straordinaria esposizione dedicata a Pablo Picasso e Edvard Munch. Con oltre 80 capolavori di Picasso, il padre del Cubismo, e opere cariche di tormento di Munch provenienti dal Munch Museet di Oslo, questa mostra promette di offrire una prospettiva unica sulla genialità di entrambi gli artisti.
3. La Biennale di Venezia – 60. Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte: “Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere”
Dal 20 aprile al 24 November 2024, Venezia accoglie la 60ª Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte edited by Adriano Pedrosa. Con il tema “Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere”, the Biennale celebrates the diversity and uniqueness of the artists who, as foreigners, have left a significant imprint on the art world.
4. Anselm Kiefer a Firenze: “Come Angeli Caduti” between War, Memory and Myth
Dal 22 March to 21 July 2024, Strozzi Palace in Florence he presents an exhibition dedicated to Anselm Kiefer. Through paintings, sculptures and photographs, the exhibition offers a profound look at the complexity of Kiefer's production, with themes ranging from war to memory, from myth to the mystery of existence.
5. Vivian Maier a Bologna: The Art of Photography in the Foreground
A Pallavicini Palace, until 28 January 2024, Bologna celebra l’arte della fotografia con la mostra “Vivian Maier – Anthology”. With almost 150 original and Super 8mm photographs from the Maloof Collection archive and the Howard Greendberg Gallery in New York, the exhibition offers an intimate vision of Vivian Maier's talent.
6. Van Gogh a Trieste: The Masterpieces of a Dutch Genius
After the Roman stage, the exhibition on Vincent van Gogh arrives at Revoltella Museum of Trieste from 22 February to 30 June 2024. Through about fifty works, including the famous portraits of Monsieur and Madame Ginoux, This exhibition offers an in-depth look at the production of one of the most iconic artists in the history of art.
7. Steve McCurry a Pisa: Icons of a Unique Photographic Career
Dal 1 January to 7 April 2024, to Republican Arsenals of Pisa, la mostra “Icons” dedicates a space of global resonance to the master of contemporary photography, Steve McCurry. Con 90 shots, the exhibition spans decades of career and offers an in-depth look at cultural diversity through McCurry's iconic images.
8. Joan Mirò in Catania: Surrealism in 80 Multiform Works
Dal 20 January to 7 July 2024, Palace of Culture of Catania hosts an anthological exhibition dedicated to Joan Mirò. Con 80 works, between temperatures, sculptures, watercolors, paintings and ceramics, the exhibition captures the playful and playful vision of the Catalan artist, enriched by a photographic and video section that recounts his private and public life.
9. Willem de Kooning and Italy in Venice: The Italian Influence on the Master of Abstract Expressionism
Dal 16 aprile al 15 September 2024, the Accademia Galleries of Venice are hosting an exhibition dedicated to Willem de Kooning. Through approx 75 works, the exhibition focuses on the influence that travels to Italy had on the artist's production, offering an in-depth view of his personal vocabulary.
10. Juergen Teller a Milano: “I Need to Live” through the Lens of a Master Photographer
From the end of January to 1 April, the Triennial of Milan presents an exhibition dedicated to Juergen Teller, one of the most significant interpreters of international photography. Con 400 photo, videos and installations, the exhibition offers an in-depth look at Teller's eclectic work.
11. The Macchiaioli in Brescia: Artistic Revolution in 10 Sections
Dal 20 January to 9 June 2024, Martinengo Palace in Brescia presents an exhibition divided into 10 sections dedicated to the Macchiaioli. With works from private collections and prestigious museums such as the Uffizi in Florence and the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, the exhibition reveals the artistic revolution of these painters who distanced themselves from academic influences.
12. Escher a Roma: A Journey into the Impossible and the Unheard of
Dal 31 October 2023 al 1 April 2024, Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome hosts an extraordinary anthology dedicated to M.C. Escher. With approx 300 works, including famous and unpublished masterpieces, the exhibition offers a unique perspective on the mind of this master of graphic art.
13. Monet in Padua: Impressionism in 50 Masterpieces on loan from the Musée Marmottan Monet
Dal 9 March, at the Altinate Cultural Center | San Cajetano in Padua, an exhibition dedicated to the father of Impressionism is held, Claude Monet. Con oltre 50 masterpieces on loan from the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris, the exhibition offers an in-depth look at the life and production of this great master of art.
14. Nari Ward in Milan: Social Transformations and History Rethought through Art
Dal 28 March to 28 July 2024, Pirelli HangarBicocca in Milan it hosts the Nari Ward retrospective. Known for his installations that provocatively explore social transformations, history and memory, the artist offers a unique vision through performance-related works and collaborative projects.
15. I Love Lego a Reggio Calabria: Art and Creativity among Colored Bricks
Until 24 March, the Civic Art Gallery of Reggio Calabria ospita la mostra “I Love Lego”. A route suitable for all ages, which offers an immersion in the colorful world of Lego bricks, with dioramas, installations and artistic reinterpretations of famous masterpieces, curated by the artist Stefano Bolcato.
